Title Block Analysis

The title "NME" is bold and really stands out. It is very easy to read and audiences will immediately be able to identify it. NME is the abbreviation for New Musical Express, this shows that the magazine it about music that is new and this may appeal to a younger audience. The NME really stands out as it is red with a white boarder ontop of a black background. The text is also in capital letters. It is easy to recognize and is very distinctive.

The word "KERRANG!" is in bold capital letters with an explanation mark on the end. The font and style looks to go with the genre of the magazine which is Rock. The word KERRANG! is used as a title as it the sound that a guitar makes. A guitar is a musical instrument that is used very frequently in Rock music. The title block has what it seems to be cracks in the letters and also a blood splat under the "G" this could be to show that the magazine is about the dark and gothic type of music.
